Employees can be considered people who are directly employed by your company or people who are subcontracted to your company but you want to make sure your company name is reflected on everything they do and not their company. For example, in California there are many inspectors who have their own company, but materials testing & inspection agencies may hire them for a contract they have and want their company name on the reports they write. In this case you would add them here so your company is on the reports for the particular project.
When we come to this page we will see everyone who has been approved to work for your company. You can activate them and deactivate them as they come and go. We do not delete anyone because their name may be attached to a report or record somewhere in the system. If they have not written anything or responded to anything, then they can be deleted from the company directory.
You can search for an existing user to be added to your companies directory. People can be added to many companies, but when you do, they need to accept the request. When you click on the button “Search for an Existing User to be an Employee” a window pops up and allows you to search for someone. If you do not see their name you will click on the Add just to the left of the name. A new window will pop up so you can add in this persons information, they will receive an email directing them to review and accept the invitation. You can make these individuals either a basic employee or an administrator. Administrators can add employees to your company and add them to projects.
